Also known as Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull truly lives up to the nickname – with chart-topping hits in more than 15 countries and multiple sold-out tours across the globe, the success of the multi-talented musician, performer, fashion icon and actor has been an international phenomenon. Born Armando Christian Perez to Cuban parents in Miami, he described his choice of the name name Pitbull as fitting because pitbulls “bite to lock. The dog is too stupid to lose. And they’re outlawed in Dade County. They’re basically everything that I am. It’s been a constant fight”.
Influenced by the Miami bass genre, and looking to artists such as Celia Cruz and Willy Chirino for inspiration, after graduating from Miami Coral Park High School, he focused on becoming a rapper. In 2001, Pitbull was signed to Luther Campbell’s Luke Records. Under the careful production of Robert Fernandez, he was introduced to Lil Jon, and saw his first releases as a guest on Lil Jon’s “Kings Of Crunk,” album.
“I often say that if I were not performing, I don’t know what would have happened to me, and this is how I give back.” Pitbull said. “I’m just honored to be around so many iconic names in Las Vegas.”
In 2004, Pitbull released his full-length debut, M.I.A.M.I., which peaked in the top 20 of the Billboard 200. Fast on the way to stardom, his fourth album, 2009’s “Rebelution” saw his first international smash hit, “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” which made the successful American rapper into a global icon.
Pitbull’s first Spanish album since 2010, “Dale,” was released in 2015, so expect a healthy dose of Latin influence in amongst the hip-hop! Fun and flamboyant, Pitbull’s residency show is entertainment at its very best. Don’t miss out – get your tickets today!!!
